The project will strengthen the capacity of the Protected Areas Commission and protected area management teams to implement safeguards and promote inclusive participation across Guyana’s National Protected Areas System. It will support the development of safeguards procedures, an accessible grievance mechanism, staff and community training, awareness materials, field-level tools, and women and youth conservation initiatives across Kaieteur, Shell Beach, Kanuku Mountains and Kanashen protected areas.
